Women Artists 2026

Fusion Art's 35th quarterly online art competition celebrates women artists worldwide. It accepts representational and abstract 2D and 3D visual artwork, with any subject matter. General competition awards include Best in Show, second through fifth place, and possible Artistic Excellence or Honorable Mention awards.

Celebrating women artists; any subject matter, from realism to surrealism to abstraction.

Only women artists over 18 are eligible, worldwide, regardless of location, experience or education. Work must be original and completed within the past five years. Eligible visual forms include painting, drawing, pastels, inks, pencil, printmaking, encaustic, fabric, collage, mixed media, analog and digital photography, digital photo artwork, digital painting, manipulations, digital collage, photopainting, vector drawing, integrated digital art, relief, pottery, sculpture, installation, kinetic and conceptual 3D work in metal, paper, wood, stone, fiber, plastics, glass, ceramics or other materials. Derivative digital work must be significantly different enough to constitute a new original work; the gallery may request the original if copyright infringement is suspected. Tasteful nudity is acceptable; graphic erotic art and graphic sexual violence are excluded. No size limits; work need not be for sale. 3D entries require front, back and side views at no additional fee. Submit clear JPG images, 72 dpi, highest compression quality of 12, maximum 5MB, without frames, mats or watermarks. Name files FirstName_LastName_Title.jpeg; avoid special characters and stray spaces. A third-person bio or artist statement, maximum 100 words, is required but is not used in final exhibition evaluation. Nonrefundable fees: $25 for 1–2 images or $40 for up to 5 images. Multiple entries are allowed. Payment is due at entry through Submittable and includes New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax if applicable. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Artwork previously awarded in other shows is allowed; reuse across Fusion Art competitions is allowed if theme-compliant and not previously a winner. No image substitutions or early exhibition withdrawals. Fusion Art may crop or color-correct images. Artists grant a non-exclusive perpetual reproduction license for website display, marketing and promotion of present and future competitions, exhibitions and the annual group show, and permit archival retention. Entry accepts the competition rules, Terms of Service & Use and Privacy Policy and opts the artist into email notices, with unsubscribe available. Dates may change; cancellation results in fee refunds. Online sales inquiries are directed to the artist; Group Show sales incur a 50% commission. General awards are Best in Show and second through fifth place in Traditional, Digital & Photography and, if entries are received, 3-Dimensional categories, with possible Artistic Excellence or Honorable Mention awards. Award winners receive a digital certificate, announcement and press release. The competition's award-information link points to a Still Life prospectus rather than a Women Artists prospectus; no additional award amount is stated here.
