Woman Made Gallery invites women and nonbinary artists at all career stages to submit original fiber- and textile-based work for Unraveled, a juried Chicago exhibition exploring materiality, labor, memory, gender, culture, resistance, preservation, transformation, tradition, and innovation.
About this call
Contemporary fiber and textile practices as vessels for memory, inheritance, culture, resistance, preservation, and reinvention
Requirements
Submit one to three original works incorporating fiber materials or strategies; up to two entries per artist. Work must not be primarily AI-generated, previously exhibited at Woman Made Gallery, wider than six feet, or heavier than 75 pounds unless the artist handles delivery and pickup. Accepted works must arrive ready to exhibit. Fee waivers and reduced fees are available for eligible BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists.
