Requirements
Open to women and nonbinary artists at all career stages worldwide who work in traditional or experimental fiber and textiles. Work must be original, created by the artist, address the exhibition theme, and incorporate fiber-based materials and/or strategies; work produced primarily with AI image-generation tools is ineligible. Collaborative work is accepted if every artist meets the eligibility criteria and is properly credited. Submit 1–3 pieces; each artist may make no more than two entries. Images/files may be JPG, MP4, or PNG and must not exceed 50MB per image. A brief artist statement is required. Work previously exhibited at Woman Made Gallery is ineligible. Works may not exceed 6 feet horizontally or weigh more than 75 pounds unless the artist personally handles delivery and pickup. Accepted work must arrive ready to exhibit, whether shipped or hand-delivered; international and other nonlocal artists must cover shipping costs. The usual arrival deadline is January 8, 2027, with deliveries accepted January 6–8; artists needing an alternative may deliver December 16–20, 2026. The gallery cannot provide mannequins or stands for wearable pieces. Work may be for sale or not for sale; Woman Made Gallery retains a 40% commission on sales and pays the remaining balance to the artist within 30 days. Reduced fees and fee waivers are available by request for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists. Accepted artists must agree to exhibition terms covering the schedule, shipping and delivery, installation, an insurance disclaimer, sales and commissions, reproduction of digital files and images, and website/publicity requirements.
