An online visual-art residency with weekly cohort exchanges, rotating curators and artist advisors, and monthly one-on-one meetings. Artists may enter through a 12-week quarter or a full-year pathway. Successful completion of the full-year pathway leads to a curated solo exhibition in New York and a formal two-year representation relationship with Uncool Gallery. A standalone quarter focuses on developing an artist statement, portfolio documentation, and 3–10 consistent works, without an exhibition or representation outcome.

For active, committed visual artists, formally trained or self-taught. Applicants must be at least 18 by January 18, 2027, meaning born on or before January 18, 2009. Submit contact information, available website and/or Instagram links, a mini bio of up to 500 words, an artist statement of up to 500 words, a response explaining alignment and goals of up to 500 words, pathway preference, funding/payment information, and a portfolio. The preferred portfolio is one PDF, maximum 15 MB, containing 10–15 works captioned with title, year, medium, and dimensions; a portfolio link is accepted if upload is not possible. Full-year participation is 12 months, comprising 48 program weeks across four 12-week quarters; a quarterly entry is 12 weeks. Artists may renew quarter by quarter and complete the full-year experience over a longer period; renewal depends on engagement, alignment, and availability. Full-year completion leads to a curated NYC solo exhibition the following year and formal two-year Uncool Gallery representation; the listing also states Artsy presence for 1–2 years. The solo show can be managed remotely. A standalone quarter has no exhibition or representation outcome. Tuition is $3,800 per quarter or $15,200 for the full year. A 30% enrollment payment is applied toward tuition: $1,140 for a quarter or $4,560 for the full year. It is normally due within seven days of selection confirmation unless otherwise agreed; remaining tuition may be paid through an agreed installment plan. The enrollment payment is refunded if Uncool Artist determines during onboarding that the program is not a good fit, but is non-refundable if the applicant withdraws after accepting and paying. Up to two 50% partial scholarships are available per quarter, only for quarterly-pathway applicants; direct full-year applicants are ineligible, and no full scholarships are offered. Scholarship support applies to one quarter only; further support requires another request and is subject to available resources, not guaranteed. The application fee is $45, non-refundable. The call-specific notice says application-fee waivers have been fully allocated and are no longer available, although a later section retains generic waiver-request instructions. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with decisions typically within 1–2 weeks of a complete submission. Applicants must agree to the Uncool Artist Terms of Service.
