About this call
Moments of transition, choice, and transformation, interpreted through personal, social, environmental, cultural, or global perspectives.
Requirements
Open to national and international artists age 18 or older and all skill levels. Eligible representational or abstract 2D and 3D work includes painting, specified mixed media, drawing, collage, specified printmaking, fiber art, 3D glass, ceramics, wood, metal, and sculpture. Craft, jewelry, video, digital prints including giclée, computer-generated elements, and AI artwork are ineligible. Work must be original, executed by hand, and submitted by the artist; 2D work must have been completed within the last two years, while 3D work has no required timeframe. Work created under supervision or as part of a class or workshop is ineligible, as are copies, imitations, instructor-provided references, and work previously accepted into a Studio Texas exhibit. Photo references must be the artist's own. Artists retain copyright but selected artists grant promotional-use rights for selected images. Up to six entries may be submitted for $45 for the first entry plus $10 for each additional entry; fees are nonrefundable, and no more than one work per artist will be accepted. Images must be original JPEG/JPG files using sRGB, at least 1,500 pixels on the longest edge and no larger than 30 MB, cropped to show only the artwork without matting, frame, or background. Work need not be for sale; artists receive 60% of sales, and shipping sold work is the responsibility of the artist, with shipping costs paid by the artist or buyer.
