Then & Now: A Legacy Exhibition

Artists of Palm Beach County closes its 20th-anniversary year with an exhibition exploring artists' evolution through paired earlier and recent works. The earlier work is reproduced alongside the recent original, accompanied by a statement explaining their connection. Artists at every stage are invited. The exhibition runs December 5–30, 2026, at HATCH1121 in Lake Worth, Florida, with cash awards of $150, $100 and $50.

Artists' evolution: an earlier work representing "Then" paired with a recent work representing "Now".

Submit two images representing a pair of works: an earlier piece and a recent piece, with a statement of up to 150 words explaining their connection. The earlier work is not shipped; submit it as a high-resolution JPG, to be printed at 8 x 10 inches and displayed beside the recent piece. The recent original must arrive ready to install and measure no more than 36 inches on its longest side, including the frame. Original artwork in all media is welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, fiber, sculpture, ceramics and other three-dimensional work. Artists at every stage may apply; 20 years of art-making is not required. Artificial-intelligence-made work and explicit sexual work are not accepted. The APBC Exhibition Committee accepts or declines each pair as one submission, judging artistic quality, presentation and the strength of the relationship between the works. Entry fees are $30 for members and $40 for non-members. All work must be for sale; members keep 75% of gross sales and non-members keep 65%. Cash awards are $150, $100 and $50. Deliver work in person on December 3, 2026, and collect it on December 30, 2026. Results are announced November 30, 2026.
