Requirements

Open to Salmagundi members and non-members. All illustration media are accepted, but sculpture is excluded. Artists may submit one work that has not previously been shown at Salmagundi; framed dimensions may not exceed 18 inches. The submitted image must accurately represent the completed work. Accepted work must be professionally framed with hanging wire or otherwise professionally mounted for gallery display, remain installed throughout the exhibition, and be delivered in person or shipped to the clubhouse. Shipped work must use a reusable art-shipping box and include a prepaid return label. The club takes a 30% sales commission. Images of accepted work may be used for publicity, advertising, or other purposes. Entry images must be JPEG/JPG files, preferably sRGB, at least 2400 pixels on the longest edge and no larger than 30 MB, showing only the artwork without mat, frame, or background. Entry fees are nonrefundable and must be paid by the deadline; the captured page does not state the amount. All submissions enter the Salmagundi Card contest, and winning entries will be reproduced as note cards benefiting the Artist-In-Need Fund.
