Requirements
Applicants must be current Carrollwood Cultural Center members or students, faculty, or volunteers who have taken classes, worked, or volunteered there since January 2023. Work must be original. Eligible work includes 2D and limited 3D creations such as watercolor, acrylic, oil, assemblage, encaustic, mixed media, sculpture, photography, quilts, fiber, and abstract work. Because this is a family facility, nudes, guns, blatant or overt violence, political work, and controversial or potentially offensive work are prohibited. Work may not be smaller than 8 x 10 inches; works up to 50 inches in any direction are preferred. Pedestals for 3D work are limited, and artists should inquire about availability; very heavy pieces may require special handling. Hanging hardware must be provided, and plastic frames, easel-back frames, and frames not intended to hang will be rejected. The tiered entry fee is $10 for up to two artworks plus $5 for each additional artwork, up to five total; fees are nonrefundable. Entry images must be original, high-quality JPEG/JPG files, preferably using sRGB, cropped to show only the artwork, at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, and no larger than 30 MB. Artwork must be delivered on November 2, 2026 from 1–4 p.m. with the artist’s name, title, medium, and contact information affixed to the front and back. Pickup is February 1, 2027 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m.; uncollected work will be auctioned or donated, and work must remain installed through the show unless replacement arrangements are made. Artists must sign an indemnity form. The Center may use photographs and videos of artists or their work in press releases and marketing without special permission, while artists retain all rights to their work.
