Still Becoming...The Journey Through

Women Painters West presents a juried exhibition for current members in good standing at Blue & The Muse Gallery in Los Angeles, November 21, 2026–January 9, 2027. The exhibition brings together women painters exploring moments within an ongoing journey rather than a completed destination. Original digital art will also be considered. The gallery will accept only one piece per artist. First, second, and third prizes are $500, $300, and $200 respectively.

Open only to current Women Painters West members in good standing. Work must be the artist's own original artwork and not made under an instructor's supervision. Original digital art will be considered; no AI work or digital reproductions. Submit through OnlineJuriedShows by midnight November 1, 2026; an account is required. Complete the entire entry form and include artist name, medium, dimensions, and retail price; list sizes to the nearest inch. Fees are $35 for two entries plus $5 for one additional entry, with a maximum of three entries per artist. Fees are non-refundable, must be paid by the entry deadline, and are payable by credit card or PayPal. Only one piece per artist may be accepted. Images must be JPEG (.jpg), sRGB, smaller than 4MB, at least 1920 pixels on the longest side, and 72 dpi. Images must be right side up, cropped to show only the artwork, and exclude frames and matting. There is no size limit. Accepted work must be signed and ready to hang. Framed work should have simple, narrow, neutral frames and mats. Wiring must be in good condition, sufficient for the artwork's weight, and taped at the ends; no saw-tooth hangers. Works on paper must be covered with glass or plexiglass. Unframed work is permitted if edges are clean and have no staples. Delivered work must match the submitted image; substitutions are prohibited. Attach a label to the back upper right corner of each piece. Acceptance notification is November 5, 2026. Deliver accepted artwork to the gallery November 17, 2026; street parking has no meters, and the adjacent garage offers 15 minutes of free loading or parking at $5 per hour. All accepted work must remain at the gallery for the full seven-week exhibition. Prices cannot change after acceptance. Artwork pickup is January 12, 2027, 10am–12pm. Blue and the Muse Gallery takes a 50% commission on purchases; contracts must be signed upon drop-off, and payments occur on the 15th and 30th of the month. Prizes: 1st prize $500; 2nd prize $300; 3rd prize $200. Women Painters West and Blue and the Muse Gallery are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage while artwork is in the gallery's possession or in transit. Entering constitutes agreement to all prospectus conditions. Images displayed on the organizations' websites or social media remain the exclusive property of the artists; no rights are conveyed without the artist's express written permission.
