Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival 2027
Cary, NC
The opportunity
A juried, one-day visual-art and craft festival at Fred G. Bond Metro Park in Cary, North Carolina. North Carolina resident artists may apply to exhibit and sell original work in the festival's eligible media categories. Artists retain their sales revenue, and the festival charges no sales commission.
Requirements
Only North Carolina residents are eligible, and residency will be verified. Applications require five images, including a booth shot, plus an artist process statement of no more than 500 characters describing materials, techniques, production, personally completed work, outside fabrication or finishing, and specialized processes where applicable. Emerging artists are not accepted. Applicants may submit up to three applications; artists with multiple bodies of work must submit separate applications. A maximum of three artists may collaborate on one body of work, all collaborators must be identified and present, and no more than two non-collaborating artists may share an approved booth. Accepted artists must attend and operate their booths; representatives and booth subletting are prohibited. Work must be original, substantially produced by the artist, consistent with the juried images, and compliant with its category rules. Wholesale/resale goods, minimally altered manufactured products, commercial kits or principal-use commercial patterns, undisclosed production-studio work, unauthorized reproductions, and work generated wholly or substantially through generative AI are ineligible. Digital fabrication is allowed only where the artist creates the original design, remains substantially involved, and discloses the process. Reproductions may not exceed 50% of visible booth artwork except where printing is inherent to the accepted medium; artist-produced merchandise may not exceed 20%, and reproductions plus merchandise may not exceed 50%. The standard application/jury fee is $30; applications after November 23, 2026 incur a $50 late application fee, with a November 29 late-fee deadline. Application fees are non-refundable. Accepted artists must also purchase booth space: Cary residents pay $110 for a 10x10 or $220 for a 10x20; non-Cary residents pay $140 or $280 respectively; shared 10x10 spaces are $70 per space, and a requested corner costs an additional $25 if available. Artists provide their own tent, tables, chairs, displays, and equipment; tents require at least 40 pounds of weight per corner, staking is prohibited, and electricity is not supplied. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting the 7.25% North Carolina-Wake County sales tax.
