Small Works 2026 Exhibition

An exhibition of small works and miniatures at the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center in Hampton, Virginia, open to Hampton regional and Virginia artists working in all media. Artists may submit up to six artworks. Awards recognize works in the Small Works and Miniatures categories, with an additional Mighty Miniature award. The exhibition runs through the holidays, and selected artworks offered for sale may be removed when purchased.

Open to all Hampton regional and Virginia artists and all media. Submit up to six artworks online through Entrythingy by October 25, 2026, at 11:59pm; the source does not specify a time zone. The entry fee is $40, or $35 for HAL, for up to six artworks. Two-dimensional artworks must be no larger than 8 x 10 inches INCLUDING FRAME. Three-dimensional artworks must not exceed 8 inches on any side or diameter. Works exceeding these size parameters will not be accepted. Two-dimensional artworks smaller than 20 square inches and three-dimensional artworks smaller than 5 inches cubed are considered Miniatures. Awards are given for First ($200), Second ($150), and Third ($100) Places along with three Awards of Merit in two categories, Small Works and Miniatures. The Mighty Miniature award ($100) is given to the strongest miniature selected by the judge. Artists will receive notification by email in the week following the deadline. Accepted artwork delivery is November 10–14, from 10:30am–5:30pm. Shipped work must arrive by November 6; artists shipping work must include or email a return shipping label. Selected artworks offered for sale may be removed at the time of purchase during the exhibition.
