The opportunity
A juried outdoor art and fine craft market at Rousakis Riverfront Plaza in Savannah, Georgia, February 26–28, 2027. Artists, makers, and specialty vendors exhibit and sell their work along Savannah's riverfront. Accepted categories include mixed media, ceramics, digital art, drawing and printmaking, edibles, fiber, glass, handcraft, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, sculpture, and wood and furniture. Emerging artists may apply. Applications require five images, including a booth shot, and a non-refundable $30 processing fee; additional booth and licensing costs apply.
Requirements
Submit five images, including a required booth shot. Emerging artists are accepted. Application deadline: January 5, 2027; confirmation/purchase deadline: January 20, 2027. Late applications may be accepted at the Director's discretion for the waitlist. The application processing fee is $30 and non-refundable. Standard booth: $400; double booth: $800, limited availability; corner upgrade: $100, limited availability; electricity: $100, limited availability.
Merchandise must be original, handmade, and created by the attending exhibitor. Reproductions must be clearly identified; original art must occupy at least 50% of the artist's space. All displayed artwork must be for sale. Browse bins must occupy minimal space and not obstruct patrons. Artists may show only jury-approved categories and must personally attend for the entire festival; agents, dealers, employees, and representatives may not operate their booths. Buy/sell merchandise, vintage items, T-shirts/commercial clothing, posters, manufactured toys, commercially manufactured or reproduced resale items, jewelry with more than 50% manufactured components, and items using commercially available molds or patterns are prohibited.
Drawing and printmaking entries must be original; prints must be signed and numbered, and photocopies are prohibited. Fiber and glass categories prohibit embellishment of manufactured materials. Handcraft requires a complete description of items. Jewelry prohibits commercial molds or casts and requires at least 50% of the organic materials in the finished product to be produced by the artist. Photography must originate from the artist's own negative or digital capture and be processed by the artist. Embellished manufactured wood items are prohibited. Edibles must be handmade, pre-packaged, and not prepared onsite. Food trucks and honey booths cannot be accepted. Food booths must register with Savannah DPH and submit their business license and required DPH paperwork; begin this process no later than six weeks before the event and/or immediately upon acceptance.
The source requires a City of Savannah Business License costing $85 per calendar year, including for sellers with a Georgia business license, but states an exemption for artists living in a county immediately surrounding Chatham County. Use the event address as the business address. Licensing may be completed after acceptance rather than before applying; allow at least two weeks for processing. Exhibitors are responsible for applicable permits, taxes, and fees, including collecting and reporting the stated 7% sales tax.
Exhibitors supply their own displays and weighted white-top tents of EZ UP quality or higher; tailgating tents are prohibited. Rules specify 10'x10' tents, while booth information permits tents no larger than 10'x11'; assigned spaces are approximately 10 feet deep by 11 feet wide or greater. The dedicated weight rules specify professional weights of 45–50 pounds per leg, although other sections state lower minimums. No staking or tying to trees or lamp posts. Permitted weights include sufficiently weighted tubes, cloth sandbags, concrete-filled buckets, stabilizer bars with sandbags, and weight plates or dumbbells. Grid panels or stabilizer bars alone, raw concrete blocks/bricks, one-gallon water containers, and plastic-bag sandbags are not permitted. Missing required weights or a white-top tent can result in removal and forfeiture of fees. Confine displays to the assigned space.
Load-in is Friday, February 26, 2027, 6:30–10:00 a.m.; booths must open by 10 a.m. This is a dolly/wagon-in event, with items carried across cobblestones. Unloading on River Street is limited to 30 minutes, followed by immediate vehicle removal to parking; trailers park offsite at the convention center. Saturday walk-in is listed for 8:00–8:30 a.m. only with advance previous participation and approval. Check in with photo ID; display a parking pass. Artists not checked in or in contact by Friday at 8 a.m. are considered no-shows and forfeit their spaces without refunds. Maintain access to the email associated with ZAPP for assignments and load-in/load-out instructions; no packets are mailed.
The event is rain or shine with no rain date. Applications are non-refundable. Cancellations up to 90 days before the event receive fees applied to the next scheduled show; no refunds within 60 days or for booth fees applied from a previously canceled show. Credits must be used within one calendar year; artists with credits must still apply, notify the director, and meet deadlines. The policy also states credits must apply to the show for which they were given and cannot transfer to another show. Jury-exempt returning-artist fees are non-refundable. Weather cancellations and removal for rule violations do not receive refunds; pandemic cancellation/postponement provisions offer credit. The source contains inconsistent copied festival hours and waitlist/opening dates; its event title, Dates & Deadlines, and Event Dates section agree on February 26–28, 2027.
