sƛ̓x̣etkʷ Artist-in-Residence Program — Round 3

A three-month winter residency at Spokane Falls Community College for an emerging Native American artist. The resident receives three monthly $3,000 stipend payments, furnished off-campus housing, travel reimbursement, access to fine-art facilities, and optional mentorship. The source reports conflicting travel-reimbursement caps: $800 on the college page and $500 in the CaFE record.

Applicants must be emerging Native American artists who are enrolled members of a US federally recognized tribe. Priority is given to Pacific Northwest and Washington tribes, particularly the Schitsu'umsh (Coeur d'Alene). “Emerging” means without gallery representation. Residents must commit 35 hours per week on campus. Applications require 5–10 images. The source reports travel reimbursement capped at $800 by the college page but $500 by the CaFE record.
