RFQ: Georgia-based artists for 3-wall mural project in Suwanee, GA (northeast of Atlanta)

The City of Suwanee Public Arts Commission seeks Georgia-resident professional muralists and muralist teams to design and install three outdoor murals on unfinished concrete walls along Buford Highway in downtown Suwanee. The murals should tell a story welcoming visitors and residents into downtown. The project budget is $20,000 for artist fees, travel, and associated expenses, with an additional allocation of up to $5,000 for materials and supplies.

Open to Georgia-resident professional public muralists and muralist teams over the age of 18 with demonstrated ability to execute a public art project of this scale and budget. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US; selected artist(s) must comply with E-Verify. Submit interest and qualifications to design and install murals on three low, long, exterior unfinished concrete walls along Buford Highway. The walls are fronted by a sidewalk, and scaffolding or ladders will not be needed. Applications are accepted until October 30, 2026 and will be reviewed by the Public Arts Commission later in the year. Artists will be notified in January 2027 or before. Work must be completed by April 18, 2027.
