The opportunity

Fusion Art invites worldwide 2D and 3D artists to an online competition for art and photography with red as the predominant color. Representational and abstract work is eligible. The exhibition is described as taking place in November 2026, with an extra month of website display under a revised schedule; the schedule paragraphs contain inconsistent competition names.

About this call

Red as the primary color, conveying strong feelings and psychological depth; other colors may enhance its impact.

Requirements

Open worldwide to artists over 18. Work must be original, completed within the past five years, and use red as the primary color; any subject matter is acceptable. Eligible visual forms include painting, drawing, pastels, inks, pencil, printmaking, encaustic, fabric, collage, mixed media, analog and digital photography, digital photo artwork, digital painting, manipulations, digital collage, photopainting, vector drawing, integrated digital art, relief, pottery, sculpture, installation, kinetic and conceptual 3D work in metal, paper, wood, stone, fiber, plastics, glass, ceramics or other materials. Derivative digital work must be significantly different enough to constitute a new original work; the original may be requested if copyright infringement is suspected. Tasteful nudity is acceptable; graphic erotic art and graphic sexual violence are excluded. No size limits; work need not be for sale. 3D entries require front, back and side views without additional image fees. Submit clear JPG images at 72 dpi, highest compression quality of 12, maximum 5MB, without frames, mats or watermarks. Label files FirstName_LastName_Title.jpeg, without special characters or stray spaces. Provide a required third-person bio or artist statement, maximum 100 words; it is not used in final exhibition evaluation. Nonrefundable fees are $25 for 1–2 images or $40 for up to 5 images; multiple entries are allowed. Payment is due through Submittable at entry, including New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax if applicable. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Prior awards in other shows do not exclude work; reuse across Fusion Art competitions is permitted if theme-compliant and not previously a winner. No image substitutions or early exhibition withdrawals. Fusion Art may crop or color-correct images. Entry grants a non-exclusive perpetual image-reproduction license for website display, marketing and promotion of current and future competitions, exhibitions and the annual group show, with archival retention. Entry accepts the competition rules, Terms of Service & Use and Privacy Policy and opts artists into email notices, with unsubscribe available. Dates may change; cancelled exhibitions result in fee refunds. Online sales inquiries go directly to the artist; Group Show sales incur a 50% commission. General awards include Best in Show and second through fifth place in Traditional, Digital & Photography and, if entries are received, 3-Dimensional categories, plus possible Artistic Excellence and Honorable Mention awards. Award winners receive a digital certificate, announcement and press release. The explicit RED deadline is November 5, 2026. Revised-schedule paragraphs mention November 10th openings but incorrectly name Patterns, Textures & Forms and Everything Abstract; the exact RED opening date is therefore not extracted.
