Requirements
Open to Bay Area artists age 18 or older. Submit up to three two-dimensional original artworks; each work must be entered separately, with one primary JPG/JPEG image and up to two additional detail images. Images must show the full work, be 72 ppi, measure 1920–4600 px on the longest side, and be no larger than 10 MB; visible signatures must be covered for submission. A short bio and anonymous artist statement are required, each limited to 475 characters. Eligible work includes framed or stretched canvas, framed works on paper, photography, textile/fabric art, and low-relief work no deeper than 5 inches. Reproductions, AI-created art, ceiling-suspended work, and freestanding sculpture are ineligible. Ready-to-hang work must measure between 8 x 10 inches and 72 x 60 inches, weigh no more than 50 pounds, and use suitable D-rings and wire; sawtooth hangers are prohibited. Subject matter must be suitable for a family library. Submitted images and artwork must be created and solely owned by the applicant. All work must be for sale. Selected artists must deliver and collect work on the stated dates, label accepted work, and leave it on view for the entire exhibition. Accepted artists permit the Library to use images of the artwork, in whole or in part, for print, online, and social-media publicity. The $35 fee covers up to three submissions. Artists receive 70% of sales and the gallery retains 30%; sales are not guaranteed.
