On the Rise 2027

A juried emerging-artist exhibition at Blue Line Arts for artists ages 14–24. The exhibition runs May 8 through June 19, 2027 and accepts photography, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Selected work must be offered for sale, with artists receiving a stated share of sales proceeds.

Applicants must be ages 14–24 at the time of applying. The call is described as regional and says artists must reside in qualified regions, but the fee terms contemplate applicants outside the listed counties and the entry portal reportedly describes the call as national; applicants should confirm geographic eligibility with the gallery. Submit one to five images. Work must be original, completed within the last two years, not previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts, and offered for sale. Two-dimensional work must arrive ready to hang. Artists under 18 must apply through a parent or guardian, who signs the consignment agreement and receives sale proceeds. The standard entry fee is $25 for one to five images. Entry is free for Blue Line Arts members at the College Student and Artist levels and for high-school students in Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado, Yolo, Yuba, Sutter, and Nevada counties. High-school students outside those counties and community-college and university students regardless of region may request a 50% discount code; codes are issued manually during gallery hours Tuesday through Saturday and should be requested well before the deadline. Blue Line Arts handles sales, with non-members receiving 50% and members 60%.
