Legacy Art Trail Public Art Commission

UAB invites artists and artist teams to submit qualifications to design, fabricate, and install a public sculpture outside the Hill Student Center on its Birmingham campus. The project budget is $150,000. Installation is expected in July–August 2027.

Artists and artist teams may submit qualifications for the design, fabrication, and installation of a public sculpture. Selected finalists will receive a $2,000 honorarium to develop a site-specific proposal, including a maquette. Applications are open September 27–October 22, 2026.
