Kaleidoscope

A members-only ShenArts exhibition exploring color through visual art. Selected works will form an immersive exhibition at the ShenArts Gallery, with selection based on conceptual strength, relevance to the theme, and artistic quality. ShenArts will handle sales and promotion and retain a 30% commission on retail sales. Color

Applicants must be current ShenArts members. Artists may submit up to three works and provide each artwork’s title, medium, unframed size, and year, plus an artist statement of no more than 250 words and a bio of no more than 150 words. Artwork must arrive ready to hang using D-rings only; sawtooth hangers and eyehooks are prohibited, and the gallery reserves the right to reject work upon arrival. Submission photos must be cropped, well lit, and labeled in the specified artist_title_medium format or they will be disqualified. Artists must deliver and retrieve their work at the ShenArts Gallery because shipped work is not accepted. The Important Dates section lists notification on December 11, drop-off on January 11 from 4–6 pm, an opening reception on February 5 from 5–7 pm, and pickup on March 1 from 4–6 pm, but does not state years. The page states a $25 member submission fee. ShenArts retains a 30% commission on the retail price of sold work.
