IMAGES: A Festival of the Arts 2027

The 51st Annual IMAGES: A Festival of the Arts is a juried outdoor fine art festival on Riverside Drive and Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, January 22–24, 2027. The festival attracts more than 53,000 arts enthusiasts, is limited to 225 spaces, and features more than $20,000 in cash awards. The listing identifies all media and painting as accepted.

Submit a minimum of 3 images for juried selection. Artists may enter more than one category, but each category requires a separate application and $50 non-refundable jury fee. Application does not guarantee participation. Jurors review qualified entries anonymously and assign numerical scores; the highest scores in each category are selected. Artist notification is November 9, 2026, with acceptance and wait-list status emailed after the deadline. All work must be made by the artist in the tent; representatives are not allowed. Buy-sell, AI-generated work, and sublimation are ineligible. Accepting an invitation commits the artist to the show. All booths are on the street, with assigned 10' × 11' exhibition spaces. Booth fees: single $350; double $675; corner $100, with limited availability; electric $50. Setup is January 22, 2027, 6 AM–12:30 PM. Show hours are Friday 1–5 PM, Saturday 9 AM–5 PM, and Sunday 10 AM–4 PM. In-booth award judging begins Friday afternoon and continues Saturday, assessing excellence, originality, presentation, and overall impact. Awards: Best in Show $5,000; 1st Place, George and June Musson Award of Excellence, $3,500; 2nd Place, Buddy Davenport Award of Excellence, $2,500; 3rd Place, in Honor of Joey Twardowsz, $2,000; Iris Legacy Award $200; two ACA Volunteer League Choice Awards of $500 each, one in 2D and one in 3D; and 28 Awards of Merit of $400 each, 14 in 2D and 14 in 3D. Award checks are delivered Sunday.
