Hill Center Galleries 2027 Regional Juried Exhibition

A juried exhibition at Hill Center Galleries in Washington, DC, for artists living in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Original two-dimensional work in any medium is considered. The exhibition runs January 18–May 1, 2027, and is juried by Florencio Lennox "Lenny" Campello. All exhibited work must be available for sale. First place receives $1,000 and an invitation to a September 2027 Solo Artist Exhibition; second place receives $750 and third place $500, with Honorable Mention Certificates also awarded.

Open only to artists living in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Submit original 2D work in any medium, created during 2023–2026 and not previously shown in Hill Center Galleries. Only one entry per artist. The submission requirements list 1–5 pieces; the fee instructions state $45 for up to 5 pieces and $10 for each additional piece. Limited entry-fee scholarships are available; inquire at galleries@hillcenterdc.org. Submit online through EntryThingy. Images must be GIF, JPG, or PNG, with a maximum file size of 50MB per image. The juror requests a short artist statement and a description of each piece. No size restrictions apply; dimensions must include frames and be listed as width and height in inches. Work must be ready to hang using Hill Center's cable-and-hook Arakawa Hanging System. Selected artwork must be delivered directly to Hill Center on January 10, 2027, between 10:00am and 3:00pm, and picked up on May 2, 2027, between 10:00am and 3:00pm; shipments are not accepted. All artwork must be available for sale. Selected artists must sign the Hill Center Galleries Consignment Agreement. The gallery sells at the price submitted in the online entry, plus applicable DC sales tax, retains a 30% sales commission, and remits proceeds to the artist. No price changes are permitted after the call deadline. The gallery is responsible for safekeeping while consigned artworks are in its custody, as detailed in the Consignment Agreement. First prize is $1,000 plus an invitation for a spot in the 2027 Solo Artist Exhibitions installed in September 2027; second prize is $750; third prize is $500; Honorable Mention Certificates are also awarded. Notifications are expected on or around November 20, 2026.
