Exhibition Proposals 2027-2028

Western Illinois University Art Gallery in Macomb, Illinois, is accepting proposals from visual artists for solo, two-person, and group exhibitions during the 2027-2028 academic year. Exhibitions introduce university students, faculty, staff, and the western Illinois region to a variety of art forms and mediums. Accepted artists receive a reasonable honorarium to assist with travel and shipping expenses, depending on needs and circumstances.

Open to visual artists proposing solo, two-person, or group exhibitions for the 2027-2028 school year. Submit a CV, artist statement, description of the proposed exhibition, and 15-20 images labeled with title, size, date, and medium. All materials must be submitted as a single PDF file no larger than 20MB. Listed artistic fields include applied arts, architecture, design, digital, drawing, fashion, film, installation, interdisciplinary, painting, photography, printmaking, research, sculpture, textiles, video, and visual arts. There are no application, participation, or additional fees. The gallery provides accepted artists with a reasonable honorarium to assist with travel and shipping expenses depending on needs and circumstances.
