East Lansing Art Festival 2027

A juried outdoor fine-art and fine-craft festival scheduled for May 22–23, 2027 in downtown East Lansing, Michigan. Approximately 200 artist spaces are expected. Participating artists exhibit and sell their original work; approximately $6,000 in conditional on-site juried awards is available, but awards are not guaranteed participant compensation.

Fine art and fine craft

Applicants must be at least 18. All displayed work must be the exhibiting artist's original creation and consistent with submitted images; production-studio, manufactured, buy/sell, AI-generated, and other prohibited work is ineligible. Applications require five images, including a booth shot, plus a technical description of no more than 500 characters. The booth image must omit the artist's name, people, business or studio name. Artists applying in more than one category must submit a separate application for each category. The nonrefundable jury fee is $35 through November 30, 2026 and $45 beginning December 1, 2026. Accepted artists must purchase booth space by April 1, 2027: $400 for a 10-by-10-foot booth, $465 with a corner, $800 for a 20-by-10-foot double booth, or $855 for a double corner. Artists must provide a white tent, displays, tarps, and at least 40 pounds of weight per tent leg, follow assigned setup and festival procedures, remain for the entire festival, and handle applicable Michigan and East Lansing taxes. Collaborators must participate in designing and creating the work, both be named in the application, and both attend the entire festival; representatives, dealers, salespeople, booth subletting, and booth sharing by independent artists are prohibited. Submitted images may be considered for ELAF promotional materials, and one image may be used on the festival's artist webpage. Photography must be signed, numbered, artist-produced, and limited to editions of no more than 250; other reproduction and limited-edition restrictions apply. Approximately $6,000 in cash and purchase awards is conditional on on-site jury results and is not guaranteed compensation.
