DownEast Indoor Sculpture Exhibition 2027

National juried indoor sculpture exhibition at Emerge Gallery in Greenville, North Carolina, open to artists ages 18 and older working in any three-dimensional media or material. The advertised event dates are March 6–28, 2027; eligibility text separately requires work to remain available March 5–27. Prizes are $500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place. Sales are subject to a 30% gallery commission.

Open nationally to artists ages 18 and up. Any three-dimensional media or material is eligible. Work must fit through a standard-sized door (36” x 80”) and be ready for display. Artists must submit 3 entries for $20 and may submit up to 3 additional entries at $5 each, with a maximum of 6 entries per artist. Submit digitally through CaFÉ/Creative West; images must be JPGs and conform to the platform's image-format requirements. Media requirements list 3–6 images, 0–6 audio files, 0–6 videos, and 3–6 total media files. Entries open November 20, 2026, and must be completed by 11:59 p.m. EST January 15, 2027. Retain a copy of the entry information and each artwork's application number. Juror decisions will be emailed separately for each entry by January 31, 2027; applicants are responsible for monitoring their accounts under My Entries. Eligibility text requires all work to be available March 5–27, 2027, although the advertised event dates are March 6–28. Accepted work must be hand delivered or received at Emerge Gallery, 404 Evans Street, Greenville, NC 27858, by Friday, February 26, 2027, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; shipped work must arrive by Thursday, February 25. Shipping must use sturdy, reusable packaging and include a prepaid USPS, UPS, or FedEx return label. The gallery is not responsible for shipping damage. Pickup is Sunday, March 28, or Tuesday, March 30, during open hours; work left after the exhibition becomes gallery property. Shipped work will be returned starting April 1, 2027. The gallery retains a 30% sales commission. Work not for sale must be marked NFS and given an insurance value or it will not be insured. Accepted work is insured from drop-off through the last exhibition day, with no insurance after March 30, 2027; coverage is 70% of the sales price, capped at $5,000. Work exceeding the insurance value may not be accepted; values must be realistic and proof of similar sales may be requested. Consent to reproduce work for publicity, catalog, or educational purposes is assumed unless specifically reserved in writing. Submission constitutes agreement to all conditions.
