Death as Culture: Virtual Artist Residency
Hosted by Kolaj Institute
Remote
The opportunity
A four-week virtual collage artist residency exploring how death is expressed through folklore, rituals, traditions, and community life. Participants research expressions of death as culture in their own communities, develop their practice through collaborative collage making and discussion, present their work, and receive critical and curatorial feedback. Artwork will be considered for January and October 2027 exhibitions in New Orleans; artwork and writing will also be considered for the printed journal Folklore Collage Society.
