CSU Spur - Call for Proposals for Solo Exhibitions

CSU Spur seeks solo exhibition proposals for 2026–2027 exploring community, sustainability and innovation, including environmental stewardship, scientific curiosity and local storytelling. Proposals around food, water and health are encouraged. Artists of all backgrounds and experience levels working in any medium may apply. Submissions are reviewed quarterly, and selected artists will discuss timelines and gallery availability with CSU Spur staff.

Submit 5–10 high-quality images of proposed artwork with artwork details, an artist statement (maximum 250 words), artist bio (maximum 250 words), exhibition proposal (maximum 500 words), and resume or CV. All works must be original, created within the past five years, ready to be hung on a wall with security hardware, and able to be left unattended in a public space. Any medium is welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, fiber arts and mixed media. Emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply; residents of ZIP code 80216 receive special encouragement, not exclusive eligibility. The entry fee is $20.00. Submissions are received on a rolling basis and reviewed quarterly, with a final closing date of November 1, 2026. Reviews begin in November 2025. Exhibition proposals cover 2026–2027; artists selected to move forward will meet with CSU Spur staff to discuss timelines and gallery availability.
