Crowns of Princeton Arts Festival & Exhibition
Hosted by Point Pleasant Publishing
Princeton, NJ
The opportunity
An international call for an experimental arts festival at The Solley Theatre at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts in Princeton, New Jersey, on February 20, 2027, from 11am–4pm. Artists working in any artistic practice, including performance and moving-image, may apply. The festival surveys experimental art rather than following a fixed theme. A print and digital ISBN catalogue will document the festival with curatorial writing and professional photography; participating artists receive a free PDF copy.
Requirements
Open to artists internationally working in any form of artistic practice, including performance and moving-image. Pay the required $24 application donation through the linked Square checkout or alternative PayPal route, then email a CV, 5 image samples or video-stills, and an online portfolio to editor@pointpleasantpublishing.net with 'Crowns of Princeton' in the subject line. No additional participation fees are required. Moving-image projects will be presented on a professional large projection display. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 36 x 36 inches; framing is not required, but works must be presentable. Free-standing installations may be any size provided their contents are not heavy. Live and documented performances are welcome. Three-dimensional works cannot exceed 24 x 24 x 24 inches or weigh more than 15 pounds. Optional printing is available at reasonable costs for selected artists who prefer not to ship work. Artists keep 100% of sales and may optionally donate 10% of sales to Point Pleasant Publishing. Selected applicants will be notified no later than January 5, 2027, and must confirm participation by email no later than January 12, 2027. Physical drop-off is by appointment at least one week before the exhibition; pickup is at the end of the exhibition or by later appointment. Shipped artwork must arrive no later than February 12, 2027, with a return shipping label enclosed. The organizer's application instructions state a January 1, 2027 deadline, while the ArtConnect header displays October 20, 2026 at 19:45 UTC; the extracted deadline follows the organizer's explicit instructions.
