Crocker Kingsley 2027 – A National Art Competition

A national juried art competition and exhibition at Blue Line Arts. Selected works will be displayed in its four galleries, with approximately six works later selected by Crocker Art Museum curatorial staff for display there. Conditional prizes are $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second, $1,000 for third, $750 for fourth, and $250 for fifth.

Applicants must reside in the United States and be at least 18. Artwork must be original, completed within the last two years, not previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts, individually for sale, and remain in the exhibition through closing. All materials and mediums are welcome, including installation. Wall-hung work must be ready to hang with appropriate hardware and have wire installed; sawtooth hangers are prohibited. Work must fit through doors with 94-inch-high by 91-inch-wide clearance; galleries have 10-foot ceilings and no heavy machinery on site. Applicants submit through Callforentry.org. Images must be JPG files, 1–3 MB, with at least 1200 pixels on one side. The base fee is $45, with up to 10 additional images costing $5 each. Non-member artists receive 50% of gallery sales and members receive 60%. Artists pay all shipping and must provide a prepaid FedEx or UPS return label; USPS shippers must pay return shipping. Hand-delivered work must also be picked up in person. Accepted artists must upload a high-resolution catalog image by December 4, 2026. Artists warrant ownership and grant the gallery rights to exhibit and reproduce images for sales, publicity, and commemorative print publications; all other rights are reserved to the artist. Prizes are conditional awards: first $2,000, second $1,500, third $1,000, fourth $750, and fifth $250.
