Creations of the Night: Art Inspired by Dreams

A member-only, in-person gallery exhibition exploring dreams, sleep, and the subconscious at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts in Winston-Salem. The exhibition runs November 3, 2026 through February 2, 2027. Works may be offered for sale, with artists receiving 70% of the sale price, but work may also be designated not for sale.

Dreams, sleep, and the subconscious

Open only to AAWS members. The $20 nonrefundable fee covers up to three artworks, and only the first 50 entries will be accepted. Work must be original, created by the exhibitor within the past three years, and generally must not have appeared in a previous Every Corner Gallery exhibition unless it reflects this theme. Eligible work includes all types of 2D fine-art media; wall-hung 3D work may be considered subject to approval. No work may exceed 50 inches horizontally, 48 inches vertically including its frame, or 35 pounds. Two-dimensional work must be professionally framed with wire and ready to hang; alligator hangers, wet paint, visible staples or unpainted gallery-wrap edges are prohibited, and works on paper must be protected by glass or Plexiglas. The family venue excludes nudes and offensive subjects. Mass-produced reproductions of paintings or drawings are ineligible, while hand-pulled prints, original digital prints, and photographs are accepted. Artwork must be hand delivered and picked up in person; shipping and return shipping are unavailable, and the organizer cannot store work. Artists may mark work NFS or set their own sale prices; artists receive 70% of sales and AAWS retains 30%. Submitted photographs may be used for promotion and the online virtual gallery. Images must be JPEG files, preferably using sRGB, at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, no larger than 30 MB, correctly oriented, and cropped to exclude mats, frames, and background. Entry fees must be paid online by credit or debit card by the deadline and are nonrefundable. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries are disqualified. The organizers disclaim responsibility for loss or damage.
