Community Mural Program - Request for Qualifications

NOW Art seeks artists nationwide to create original mural designs for community-centered projects, including its Walmart Community Murals Program. Artists deliver digital compositions or high-resolution scans of traditionally created artwork; approved images are enlarged, printed on vinyl, and professionally installed. Selected artists are paid up to $1,000 per finalized and approved design. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Artists must submit the RFQ to be considered. Submission or recommendation does not guarantee selection; NOW Art selects artists for each store based on program parameters, qualifications, and mural style. Artists must be able to render works by hand and provide high-resolution files at a minimum of 500–720 dpi; exact dimensions are supplied when an artist is engaged. Works will be significantly enlarged. Artists should be skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, or comparable software, or be able to produce clean, color-corrected scans suitable for enlargement. Turnaround per project is approximately 10 days to two weeks. Selected artists receive direction and content for original compositions and must not begin work until selected and contracted by NOW Art. Artists communicate and work directly with NOW Art only, which solely manages artist agreements. Selected artists will be paid per project up to $1,000 for each finalized and approved design; unapproved designs receive no compensation. Artwork is delivered digitally, then printed on vinyl and professionally installed at site-specific locations. The form asks whether applicants currently reside in the United States and are at least 18 years old. Do not submit the form more than once; artists already accepted into the program need not reapply. NOW Art contacts selected artists directly.
