Chasing the Light

Juried exhibition at North Point Dental exploring how natural light, color and form evoke emotions and create visual experiences. The exhibition runs December 14, 2026 through April 2, 2027. Beatrice Athanas is the juror. Awards include Best of Show and two Judges Choice awards.

How natural light, color and form evoke emotions and create astounding visual experiences.

Submit three JPEG images and the completed entry form to COOKIEDAVIS001@GMAIL.COM; indicate the payment method. JPEG images must include the title of the work, not merely a number or the artist's name; numbered-only JPEGs will be returned for titles. The entry form requests contact information and each work's title, dimensions, medium and price. Screening fees are $30 for three images for TAC/JAG members and $35 for nonmembers. Payment may be made online through The Art Center of Jacksonville under “Calls,” or by mailing a check to 320 E. Adams Street, Jacksonville, 32202. The deadline is November 20 at 5:00 p.m.; the deadline year and time zone are not explicitly stated. Accepted forms listed are paintings, collage, mixed media, photography, drawings and sculptures; AI is accepted only if specified. Only work chosen by the juror will be accepted. Minimum size is 11 × 14; maximum size is 36 wide × 48 high, with units not stated. Art must be properly framed with wire on the back; no sawtooth hangers. Gallery-wrapped canvases must have all sides painted. No wet paint. Frames must be in good condition, and worn or chipped frames or unclean mats will not be accepted. The organizer reserves the right to reject entries that do not meet specifications. Submission grants The Art Center permission to use images of the art in photographs, video, digital or other media in its publications, website and promotional materials without payment or other consideration. Drop-off is December 12, 11 a.m.–noon; pickup is April 3, 2027, 11 a.m.–noon. Art not removed on schedule incurs a $5-per-day storage fee. Sales carry a 25% commission.
