Call to Artists: Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts invites proposals in all visual art and fine craft media for solo and group exhibitions in its 2027–2028 schedule in Hamilton, Ohio. Four galleries offer 2,600 square feet, with additional Corridor Gallery wall space as needed. The center welcomes collaborative and interactive exhibitions, including curated groups, partnering studios, guilds and guest-curated shows. Lens-based proposals may also be considered for the 2028 FotoFocus Biennial.

Proposals are accepted in all visual art and fine craft media for solo and group exhibitions. Complete the Online Submission Form with uploads of a 150-word Artist Statement, 150-word Install Specs, CV, 10 artwork JPEGs and a corresponding Image List. A $35 non-refundable fee is required. Solo artists generally are asked to exhibit 10 to 20 works, depending on scale, media and available space. Group proposals may involve partnering studios, guilds, partnering galleries or guest curators; individual artists may also be selected into a curated group show. Collaborative and interactive elements are valued, not required. Lens-based proposals may serve as a general representation of the artist's work for consideration for the 2028 FotoFocus Biennial, whose theme has not yet been announced.
