Art Splash 2027

A two-day juried fine-art fair and creative-makers event in downtown Cheboygan, Michigan. Selected artists and makers exhibit in individual booths. Conditional awards are $300 for best in show, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place.

Juried fine art and creative makers

Applicants submit five images; a booth image is not required, and up to five applications may be submitted. Emerging artists are accepted. Artists and makers must make their own products; buying and reselling, independent distributors, blatant copyright infringement, and products with offensive messages or imagery are prohibited. Applications are juried for uniqueness, skill level, medium, category, and booth display, and categories may close as similar booths fill. The nonrefundable application fee is $35; selected juried-art exhibitors also pay a $200 booth fee, while makers pay $100. Vendors must participate both days. Friday check-in begins at 7:00 a.m.; booths must be operational by 10:00 a.m. Saturday packing cannot begin before 4:00 p.m., and all vendors must depart by 7:00 p.m. Booths are 10 by 10 feet. Artists provide their own canopies, tables, and displays; any canopy must be weighted with 40 pounds per leg, and stakes are prohibited. Submitted images may be used for jurying and event publicity; artists also agree to promotional use of event photographs and videos, and photographs taken by the organizer and festival become festival property. Written booth-fee cancellation requests received by July 1, 2027 are refundable; application fees are never refundable, and no refunds are issued after July 1. Conditional prizes awarded July 16 are $300 for best in show, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place.
