A juried online exhibition from midwest nice art inviting international artists to explore surprising transformations of materials, utilitarian objects, and secondary uses or processes within their work. The exhibition opens online on December 15, 2026 and is juried by artist, educator, and curator Andrew Nordin.

Transforming the purposes of materials and utilitarian objects through secondary uses or processes.

Open internationally to artists working with materials in a surprising manner. Artists should consider a secondary use or process involving such elements as jigs, templates, casts, moulds, scraps, detritus, or found objects, whether used as a way of working, subject matter, or route to abstraction. Up to three works may be submitted. The entry form requests each work's title, medium, size, and year. Images must be 300 dpi and 1500 px on the longest side. A $5 exhibition fee is paid through Square after completing the entry form.
