Anthology Cover Art Competition 2026

An international cover-art competition for established and emerging visual artists. The winner receives a conditional €500 prize, publication on the cover of a future issue of Anthology, and editorial coverage in print and online. Work on any theme is accepted in painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, and digital media.

Any theme

Open to artists of all nationalities living anywhere in the world, with no limit on entries per person. Entries must be the submitter's original work, must not have appeared on another publication's cover, and cannot be entered simultaneously in another contest or competition. Only one image is permitted per entry; every submission requires a separate form and fee. The artist's name must not appear on the artwork because judging is anonymous. Work from the last three years is preferred but not required. Generative AI is prohibited. There are no dimension restrictions, but artwork may be cropped to fit a 190 x 195 mm cover space. Uploads must be JPG, PNG, or PDF and no larger than 4 MB. The standard fee is €18 for March 1–October 31, 2026; group entrants must contact admin@anthology-magazine.com for group-fee information, and fees are non-refundable. Artists retain copyright, but the winner and finalists grant Anthology unrestricted print and electronic use of their images specifically to promote Anthology and its Awards; entrants also agree to electronic storage and private distribution for judging. The artist must warrant that image rights have not previously been sold or granted to a third party. The winner's €500 prize is paid upon publication of the winning artwork.
