42nd Annual International Exhibition

The University of Texas at Tyler’s 2027 juried exhibition for two-dimensional visual art, juried by Diana Roberts. The department purchases three to six exhibited works each year for its permanent collection; these are conditional purchase awards rather than guaranteed participant compensation. The exhibition runs January 19–March 5, 2027, with a reception and juror presentation on March 4.

Applicants must be age 18 or older. Eligible work is limited to two-dimensional media, including photographs, paintings, drawings, prints, and fiber art, and must have been created within the last three years. Artists may submit up to three works, which are judged from digital files. The entry fee is $35 for up to three works, and the CaFE entry window opens August 24, 2026. Framed work must use Plexiglass instead of glass and weigh less than 50 pounds. Artists are responsible for shipping in both directions and must include a prepaid return label. Selected work is due at the gallery by January 8, 2027. Three to six works are purchased from the exhibition each year and added to the university’s permanent collection.
