Fellowship Programs
3-Wings Visiting Artist Fellowship
Hosted by Lighthouse ArtCenter
Tequesta, FL
The opportunity
A two-week visiting artist fellowship for an established ceramics artist at the Lighthouse ArtCenter Ceramic Studio in Tequesta, Florida. The artist creates personal work, interacts with classes and open studio, presents a public lecture, and teaches a workshop. Lighthouse ArtCenter pays $2,500 upon completion of the fellowship and workshop. Applications are ongoing and reviewed quarterly.
Requirements
For an established artist in the ceramics field. Over two weeks, the visiting artist must provide a 30-minute lecture with Q&A, free to the public; a three-day workshop lasting six hours per day; and approximately six to eight hours per day in the studio, with flexibility, creating personal work and interacting with classes or open studio. The Director of Ceramics, Chad Steve, provides the schedule. Supply Lighthouse ArtCenter with four to six pieces a few months before the scheduled workshop for workshop promotion. LAC is encouraged to sell the artist's work at a 40/60 commission. A $500 budget is available for shipping and insurance of art to and from the LAC Gallery. Under the LAC Gallery agreement, sales are processed through Lighthouse ArtCenter for sales-tax purposes, and a check is distributed. The $2,500 payment is made upon completion of the fellowship and workshop. Applications are ongoing and reviewed quarterly.
