About this call

Works that explore and push conceptual and material boundaries.

Requirements

Open to women and nonbinary artists worldwide at all career stages, in all mediums. Submit 1–3 pieces; maximum 2 entries per artist. Accepted file types: JPG, MP4, PNG; maximum 50MB per image. Work must be original and created by the submitting artist. Collaborative works are accepted if all artists meet eligibility criteria and are properly credited. AI tools may be used for research or inspiration, but work must not be primarily AI-generated; AI-generated images, text, or objects with minimal human intervention are not accepted. All work must address the exhibition theme, and a brief artist statement is required. Artwork previously exhibited at Woman Made Gallery is ineligible. Works may not exceed 6 feet on their widest side or weigh more than 75 pounds unless the artist personally handles both delivery and pickup. Artists must arrange shipping of accepted artworks to the gallery; all work must arrive ready to exhibit. Standard entry fee is $30. Reduced entry fees and fee waivers are reserved for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists; requests for discounted entry or fee waivers may be sent to general@womanmade.org with the subject "Fee Waiver". Work may be offered for sale or marked Not for Sale. On sales, WMG retains a 40% commission and pays the remaining balance to the artist within 30 days of the sale date. Juror-selected awards: first prize $500, second prize $250, third prize $100, and Honorable Mention. Accepted artists must agree to exhibition terms distributed upon acceptance, covering the exhibition schedule, shipping and delivery, installation, insurance disclaimer, sales and commissions, reproduction of digital files and images, and website and publicity requirements.
