2027 Volland Residencies

The Volland Foundation offers two-week and four-week 2027 residencies in Volland, Kansas, providing living and studio space for creative practitioners across numerous artistic, literary, performing, design, scientific, and humanities disciplines. Residents receive a duration-based stipend but cover their own travel, meals, supplies, and other living expenses.

Applicants must be adults over 18; college students are eligible, applicants may be at any career stage, and artists based anywhere in the world may apply. Applications may be submitted as a team. Residencies last either two or four weeks and operate in English. Residents must have a car and are responsible for travel and living expenses, including food, toiletries, and art supplies; no meals are provided, and pets are not allowed. Living and studio space is provided at no charge, but the application fee is $25. The Foundation awards a $500 stipend for a two-week residency and a $1,000 stipend for a four-week residency. Making or displaying work is not required; presentations and open studios are optional and may be supported when possible.
