2027 Emerging Perspectives Exhibition

An annual juried exhibition for emerging artists ages 18–35 from across the nation, accepting work in any medium for display at the Delaplaine Arts Center in Frederick, Maryland, April 3–25, 2027. Accepted artists may compete for a $500 grand prize and a $250 people's choice award; these are conditional awards rather than guaranteed participant compensation.

National eligibility; applicants must be artists ages 18–35 and may submit once. Applications require contact and residence information, an artist statement, and one to three artworks with high-resolution images; social-media and website links are optional. There are no theme, size, or media restrictions. Artwork must be original in design and execution; commercially made prints, giclées, and reproductions are ineligible. Work must have been created within the past two years and must not have been displayed previously at the Delaplaine. Accepted work must be delivered or shipped to the Delaplaine and received March 22–28, 2027; shipped work must include a return label. Accepted work must remain on display for the entire exhibition, and artists are responsible for preparation, delivery, and pickup. Wall-hanging work must be professionally wired and ready to hang; sawtooth hangers and unstable tape-based framing methods are prohibited, and work may be refused because of framing or condition. The tiered entry fee is $5 for members and $10 otherwise.
