Gallery Exhibition
2026 Annual Member Exhibition
Hosted by Fine Arts League of Cary
Cary, NC
The opportunity
Fine Arts League of Cary members may submit one work for an in-person exhibition at Page-Walker Arts and History Center in Cary, North Carolina, November 12, 2026–January 2, 2027. Acceptance is guaranteed for the first 70 registered artists. Eligible work includes original painting and photography, with separately stated provisions for artist-created digital artwork. All artwork must be for sale; FALC receives a 25% commission.
Requirements
Membership in the Fine Arts League of Cary is required. Submit one work through ShowSubmit; acceptance is guaranteed for the first 70 registered artists because of venue capacity. Original painting or photography completed within the past three years is eligible. 3D, sculpture, crafts, and other decorative arts are ineligible. Work must be the artist's original creation, not wholly or partly copied from another person's work or photograph, created solely by the artist and not under an instructor's supervision; workshop or class work is ineligible. The prospectus prohibits photographic computer-generated or other electronically generated work, but separately permits digitally created artwork when all elements are created solely by the artist and the submission is labeled digital. AI-enhanced or AI-created art and photography are prohibited. Photographs must be original and printed in a darkroom or by computer on photographic paper; photographs on canvas are acceptable. Minor adjustments such as burning, dodging, and contrast adjustment are allowed. Art reproductions, including giclee and art prints, copies, mechanical reproductions, molds, and kit work are not accepted. Maximum artwork size is 40 × 40 inches including framing. Gallery-wrapped canvas may be unframed if its edges are painted. All works must be wired to gallery standards; specific instructions will be sent in the notification email. Label the back with artwork title, artist name, phone number, and email. Accepted works cannot be substituted and must remain available for the entire exhibition. The rules state entries, titles, and dimensions cannot be changed after entry; a later section says artists may review their entry, edit artist and image information, and substitute the image until October 30, 2026. No entries or changes are accepted after that deadline; incomplete entries are disqualified. Upload an original, high-quality JPEG/JPG, correctly oriented, sharp, and cropped to show only the artwork, without frame, mat, glass, or background. Images should be at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge and no larger than 30 MB; smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet requirements. sRGB is recommended. ShowSubmit automatically handles resizing and filenames. Artwork must be family appropriate; FALC may refuse inappropriate work. All artwork must be for sale, with a 25% commission payable to FALC. This also applies to sales up to 90 days after the exhibition ends if the patron discovered the work during the exhibition. Artists must report sales to the Exhibition Chair; failure to report results in six months of ineligibility for FALC exhibitions. Awards are the FALC Mastery Award ($100), FALC Technical Acumen Award ($100), FALC Spectrum Award ($100), and five Artist of Merit Awards ($25 each), selected under the stated judging criteria. Artists retain copyright but grant FALC use of submitted images for publicity, including future event promotion, and archival purposes. FALC, its members, and the hosting facility are not responsible for loss or damage from any cause. Submission constitutes agreement with the prospectus conditions.
